Repetitive Document Number (PLEASE HELP)

Hello All,

I have a NAV mess that I am trying to cleanup ... The client has repetitive document numbers for different G/L entries.

First how is that possible, I thought the system stops you when you try to post with the same document no. because its already been used.

I want stop this from happening ... how do I ensure it doesn't happen again ...

No, standard NAV doesn't prevent you from posting the same document number.

Setup posting number series in all journal templates. And turn off the ability to modify number series for the end users.
