Create Warehouse Receipts for FA

Hi
When i try to create Warehouse Receipts for a line which has the type "Fixed Asset". The system does not do anything. But when it is an item it works. Does it mean that i cant do warehouse receipt in warehouse module for receiving FA?
The process is that, even FA are first stored in central warehouse (Remote location) and then transferred to the department.
Am i missing something or is this the default functionality
