ok, you are right ! No chance than to do this in OnAfterGetRecord Trigger of the form which shows the table holding the Flow Field (and certainly in the OnValidate of the non-FlowField) and then (poor solution) programing timer to ongoing check if calculation gives a new value?
well, if the form is not opened, the data is not updated (what if you want to run a process on your data?do you have to update the field before processing?not very good)...and you can experience bad performance & locks if users are browsing together the form...
I can't give you a better idea :-k , i can only explain what are the possible drawbacks of this solution, then, based on your real case, it's up to you to decide the way to proceed...
