Capturing system defined error in NAV through any function

Hi Friends,
I have a doubt in navision. can we able to capture the system defined error message through some function. For example: while importing data into navision, the date is not a valid date in this scenario the import will no be done. The program will quit with an error message ('It is not a valid date'). Do we have any function in navision to capture this error in a variable and display in a field.

please do answer this question. kindly help its very urgent.

Thanks in advance.
Regards,

I believe it is GETLASTERROR, or at least something close to it. Can't say I use it all that often.

I think that's it but if I remember correctly it was introduced in version 5 and it is a bit tricky since it requires a CODEUNIT.RUN.

What version are you on bdurga?
