Our client is using Nav 5.0 SP1 (Native), 24x7 company. Question is, can we take the backup while other users working?
We are looking for automated backup tools. Can you please suggest any automated backup tools similar to navierra Backup
Final question, generally do we need to backup the hot copy of the database also? If so, in which cases it will be useful?

Well yes, while you can take backup while others are working, others might not be able to work while you are taking bakup, as the Backup process locks tables that would unable other users to enter data, you know punch in, or post.

Well i know of one Backup utility that supports "unmanned and scheduled use of the standard Navision Backup feature" and that is

Well thats depends, its only usefull if you are using a Native Database and you need to do a urgent replace after a mishap, you know, data loss, corrupt database (corruption's everywhere ), etc. But the problem to keep in mind is that a Hot Copy will copy the whole database, the FDB file as it is and not do any consistency check.
