The version is Nav 2009 SP1.

Is it a bug?
Thanks & Regards

    Navision does not calculate Tax on Item Cahrge. This has been confirmed by Microsoft. you have to customize to get what you need.

    Unless you are referring to an indian localization, the guy above is incorrect or too broad in his statement

    Check your Item charge setup it should have a tax/VAT posting group setup against it to calculate automatically

    Thanks for the reply.

    But tax not getting calculated for Item Charges, even after setting the setup.

    I am using Nav 2009 SP1. So I am asking whether it is a bug in this version?
    Thanks & Regards

    Nope works for me with no issues, haa your system been customised in anyway?

    What vat posting group did you give it, so when you click F9 on statistics you are not seeing any VAT calculated or do you see a VAT identifier of 0 ?

    when it comes indian localization to calucalte the Vat/ sales tax Need not to do any VAT posting setup.There is seperate setup available Sales Tax .

    try Reading the whole statement

    "Unless you are referring to an indian localization, the guy above is incorrect or too broad in his statement" =;

    The issue you refer to was listed in version 4.0 it may have changed since then

    These kind of responses will certainly lower interest of members in responding to queries of Indian localization [-X

    Tax calculation on Charge (Item) in Purchase Order is working perfectly for my database version Nav 2009 R2 (IN).
    And think it should work for Nav 2009 Sp1 (IN) also.
