Hi all!

We have a customer using terminal services on server 2003. The clients have a serial device connected to to the client-PC wich are controlled by RS232-communications.
We can send data to the connected PCs comport

Now the question:
Is there anyone who knows how to determine which viritual port on the terminalserver belongs to the connected client PC?
:-k

Not sure if this helps, I am an end user, and we have the same enviroment, windows server 2003 terminal servers, local users with a credit card terminal connected to the local serial port. On the remote desktop connection on the local computer, check the box on the local resources tab, for serial port. this is all we need to do to access the serial port from the terminal server session, if it is com port 1 on the local computer, it is com port 1 on the terminal server session. If you need to map it do a specific com port, I think you can use the NET USE command.

You have to have the drivers that are needed to connect to your serial device loaded on the terminal server as well as the local PC.
