Expiration Date Calculation

Hi all,

I've noticed that there's a calculation formula field on Item (Expiration Calculation).

For example if Item A is set to Expiration Calculation = +10D.
I produce that Item on a production order today (09/11/09) the expiration date will become 19/11/09.
Correct?
Presume Item A has Item B in its BOM, Item B has an expiration date calculation = +10D.

Let's do the same exercise again:

1. Production order 1 produces item B on 09/11/09 -> expiration date for item b = 19/11/09
2. production order 2 produces item A on 12/11/09 -> expiration date for item a = 22/11/09

You see the problem with step 2...
It gets even more difficult if production order 2 uses different lot nos. of item B, produced on different dates...
