Upgrade from 5.0 to 2009

Hello. This is my first post - so please forgive me if this is a silly question. We are upgrading a simple (barely modified database) from 5.0 to 2009. Do you know if I need to upgrade from 5.0 to 5.0 SP1 before I can go to 2009? In the upgrade toolkit documentation it states “you must carry out an object upgrade from NAV 5.0 SP1.” If I do need to upgrade to 5.0 SP1, is it as simple as installing 5.0 SP1 on my laptop and doing the quick and dirty upgrade/conversion to SP1 or do I need to do a full upgrade from 5.0 to 5.0 SP1?
Thanks for your help,
Natasha
From the manual - "It is not necessary to perform a data upgrade to move from MSFT Dynamics NAV 5.0 to MSFT Dynamics NAV 2009. To take advantage of the RTC in MSFT Dynamics NAV 2009, you must carry out an object upgrade from MSFT NAV 5.0 SP1."
Thanks for your help,
Natasha

welcome to mibuso!
you don't need upgrade toolkit for nav 5.0->2009 step...just do tech upgrade to nav2009 and object upgrade to nav 2009...remember to recompile all objects when you're in nav 2009.
You don't have to double the work of comparing objects...anyway, there'se "search" button in the top right corner of the website...there are a other topics about this problem0 -
An upgrade to 5.0 SP1 is not required to go to 2009. No double upgrades.0
