Installing Multiple Server Tiers on One Computer

Is it possible to install multiple server tiers on one computer (utilizing different ports and I assume different instance names)? I would like to use one web server to host the middle tier for two separate databases. If this is possible, is there documentation anywhere or can someone provide the steps?

Thanks!

I just found the answer in the documentation in the Installation Walkthroughs.

I recently ran this qustion by the MS TPAG team. Their recommendation was to run each instance on its own server. They suggested running a physical server with each instance running in its own virtual machine.

"...Each server should be its own physical box and since it is 32bit those boxes would not have to be very beefy (Quad Core, 4 GB, and 1 GB Ethernet). You could even leverage hyper v and virtualization and run multiple service tiers on one or two larger boxes..."
There are no bugs - only undocumented features.
