Vendor file as Global?

Has anyone had success making the vendor file global across companies in one database (datapercompany = NO)?

From personal experience: don't do it. It's not impossible, but there are many issues to work through, and in my personal opinion it is not worth it.

If you need a global list of Vendors, you'd be better off creating a new database wide table (called "Global Vendor" for instance) and implement logic to pull company specific Vendors from that table.
