Trouble with Transfer Orders

Hi
We are in trouble with the transfer orders when quantity of the item what we want send to another location is bigger than the existences.
If you say yes to the warning and go in advance and make the shipment the result is one record in the item G/L with the location of the transit bin and zero in the quantity, and another record in minus with the origin bin of course.
And when you made the receipt, it results one record in minus with the transit bin and another record with zero in the destination bin.
If the item has enough existences it works fine, but I don't understand why the sistem don't give any warning before register these zero lines in the G/L
Can anybody help me with this?
Tanks in advance
