Back to the future - Demodatabase Datetool
Microsoft has asked me to develop a tool to change all dates in a CRONUS database in one batch. Since a CRONUS database has about 40.000 dates it is handy to have a tool.

The project is called 'Back to the future'.

The tool is based on the SQL conversion tool but handles only and all dates.

Enjoy...

Okay, I see 36129 updates to process.

    Problem No.1:
This is VERY slow, about 20 minutes to scan Cronus, -1 point. That's after I removed Table 99990 from the list to scan ... with it in I don't think it was going to finish.

    Problem No.2:
It's hardwired to 2 Years, no option -0.5 point.

    Problem No.3:
It doesn't even try to find the 19428 datetime values., -2 points.

    Problem No.4:
It doesn't seem to touch many of the records even though they are found in the scan.
Table 330 "Currency Exchange Rate" is unchanged, as is Table 99000757 "Calendar Entry".

I'm afraid that last one is a killer :bug:, sorry but  till the next version.

The tool is based on the SQL Migration toolkit and might contain some code that could have been removed because the tool only handles dates.

The tool has been tested with a CRONUS database and that worked.

What is your exact testscenario that fails?
