Import Data from Excel to Dynamics NAV

What is the best method to import data from Excel?

1. Administration -> Company Configuration > Data Migration

2. through DataPorts?


The first option gives me an error "Excel has not XML mappings"

The second i convert Excel to csv . Create a new table with the same Fields , and add them to Dataport try to Run but nothing happens.


Can you give me some light?

The most common way is certainly through a dataport. Look at the csv file, then look at the properties for the dataport (specifically the delimiters and separator) to make sure they match.

When importing using dataport, you must remove the header on the csv files.
