Hello All,
This is with respect to my previous question regarding item inventory is zero but able to ship it.
Can any body explain me the logic behind the usage of this functionality?
Because ideally speaking without having inventory how can i ship goods? Obiviously a guy will check the inventory then only he will ship it.
But is it not the system's duty to stop the user by shipping it without having inventory.
Inputs will be highly appreicated.
Regards,
A.Aravind.

It depends on the scenario in which you are operating. Logically if there is no inventory in system then there should not be any physical inventory. Moreover there are some business requirement where inward is posted later on and selling starts as soon as the goods are received. Just think of a retail store....
If you want to block posting of negative inventory then you always customize it.CA Sandeep Singla
