Inventory is Zero but still able to ship it.

Hello All,

My Item inventory is Zero. I have created a sale order. i was trying to ship without producing it. system issues a stock-out warning but if i click yes then still i can able to ship and invoice it.

is it the navision standard? Is there anyway that i can stop a shipment without having inventory.

Is it a configuration or setup kind of thing or Coding is necessary?

I appreciate your help.

Hi Aravind,

yes i believe it's NAV standard to allow negative stock.

there's several way to prevent this :
1. using bin
2. using warehouse management (pick/put-away)
3. last option = modification

yes, i mean you modify the code unit. there's already several discussion about this, you can try to search the forum for them.
