how to handle dis-assembly WIP

The WIP cost can be captured for assembly a FG / Sub-assembly which done by production order -> Consumption Journal -> Output Journal -> Change status to finished.

However, how can the WIP be captured for dis-assembly? If I use BOM journal, no WIP cost can be captured, sometimes dis-assembly will last for several days.

Are you talking about Kitting functionality?

There is a cost of disassembly account in the GL setup.

Look at the kitting manual if using kitting or if not use it as a reference to setup your own posting scenario.

Didn't quite catch your point.
Why don't you look at MUID: CYA8. It's about using production orders for 1 input - many outputs. Use your product as input. Just an idea. I have never really tried it.
