How to deal with a return character in XMLPort - txt file

eagle_eyeeagle_eye Member Posts: 130
I am being passed a text file that has return characters (a little square box). I am trying to import the text file in via an XMLPort - and have used that little square box as the Record Separator character in the XMLport. However, when run, I only get the first record. I know the XMLPORT works, because when I save the file as plain old comma separated, I get all the records.

So .. my question is, has anyone successfully dealt with this or will I have to either run a script to replace these characters before importing (not the choice I want to make)
