Automatic Login with Navision 3.70

IwanIwan Member Posts: 17
Hello everybody

Does anybody know, how to configure the autom. Login in Navision ?

Is it possible to have a database with both Login-Technics (Windows Authentification and Database Authentification) ?

Thanks a lot for your help.
Iwan

yes, you can combine both technics. You can have database logins and windows logins in same database.

Autologin is only possible with Windows logins.

I believe that you have to have active directory running to make Windows authentication work for Windows Server 2000 and up

Active Directory is only needed if you want to be able to use the lookup when setting up windows logins in Navision. If you don't have active directory nothing appears if you look up but you can still type inthe users login detail.

    Hi Everybody !

thanks a lot for your help.

I found the solution for my problem. Everything how to create a windows login is described in the "Installation & System Management" Handbook in the Chapter 2. System Setup,
Windows Authentication – Selecting the Authentication Mode !!
