Add text to body of an email AND attach a pdf to the email

I am trying to do a mass mailing of emails with text in the body (created using an interaction) and a pdf (that I would like to import into NAV) attached to the same email

Is it possible to do this in NAV4 without any customisation/add-ons?

My problems are the following:

1. I can only add either an interaction attachment to the body of an email OR as an attachment to the email, but not both.
2. I can only add word documents as attachments, and not other formats (incl. PDF)

If these problems can only be solved with add-ons, could you please recommend - though I am hoping not to need to do this.

I look forward to any help on this...
