Windows Server 2008 printing problem

brewerbrewer Member Posts: 12
We have a client who is running NAV 5.0 and they are trying to install Terminal Servers running Windows Server 2008 Standard x64 for the client side. They are saying that everything works well except when they try to print more than 1 copy of anything. When they do, not only does Navision print multiple copies, but the printer driver sees that as well. So when they tell NAV to print 3 copies, the printer driver sees that it should print 3 copies for every copy coming through and prints 9 copies. 4 prints 16, etc. Does anyone have an idea what's happening there?

Thanks

Okay, the client was able to fix his problem with the service pack, but now he's reporting that when he is running a report and gets to the selection screen, he used to be able to click on File, Page Setup, and then see a screen that allowed him to click on a button at the bottom (to the right of OK and Cancel) that said Printer... Once he selected that, it would write out that information to his zup file and become the default for him for that report. After the service pack was installed, that Printer... button has disappeared. Has anyone else noticed this? And if so, what's the fix for this?

    Thanks,

    Hi Jim,

Why not use Printer Selection and removing the dependency on the ZUP file. (Administration -> Application Setup -> General -> Printer Selection)

I suggested that and he is probably going to end up going that route, but you know how poeple hate change. :) Thanks Dave!
