Calculate Current Fiscal Year

Is there a way to easily calculate the current fiscal year? The NAV standard CALCDATE function CY only uses the calendar year.
So if a company has a fiscal year of 10/01/09 to 9/30/10 setup in the Accounting Periods table, is there a function to get the start date and the end date of the fiscal year?
Or do we have to write code to do this?

you have to write code, I am an end user, and we tried to get this, but coding was the only way according to our solution center. and as an experienced end user, I never could find a way around it either. We didn't have it coded. but were eventually purchased by another company, who operates on the calendar year.0

CU 1 has a function called
FindPeriod(Date1,Date2) that are passed as references and will update them.
It also returns a true or false if it finds them.0 -

I think the function is more complicated than that in terms of passing the variables...Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

yes, you could copy the function and remove the unnecessary parameters and code.0
