Upgrade Toolkit Error

Hi all,
I'm upgrading from NAV 5.0 to NAV2009.(just starting)
My key reference is MS's upgrading manual.
All objects txt file size is about 49mb.
The manual uses remid (remid.bat and remid2.exe) to clear the ids from object.
However, when I try to run this from cmd it creates about 46mb txt file but doesn't finish the process and stuck. :bug: :bug: :bug:
The question is do I have to use that tool for clearing ids.Or there can be another tool to clear the ids from txt file?
Any help appreciated,
Amaraa
