Reverse Transaction of a bank account payment

Hi all,

I get different results in the Open Column (Bank Account Ledger Entry table) while registering a Reverse Transaction of a bank account payment using the same data:
a) When using Cheque: the two records are marked closed, and the remaining amout is null;
b) When not using Cheque: the two records stays open, and the remaining amount is not null.

Shouldn't the two records be marked as closed wether cheque is involved or not in the transaction? And the Remaining Amount equals to 0,00 if the record is reversed?

What does it mean that the payment and the reversed record are open, because there was not used a cheque?

Regards,
João Pedro

    When a cheque is printed, that transaction can reversed through voiding the cheque. You cannot reverse such an entry by 'Reverse Transaction' option.

    Further, the 'Open' field in BLE is related to Bank reconciliation process. When BRS is completed, this field will get updated.
