Modifying Bin Mandatory setup on existing location

Hi experts,

Please help us..
Due to wrong configuration on a warehouse location, our item is not tied to any Bin.
And it was due to Bin Mandatory is set to NO in Location Card.

But we already post the opening stock for this location.
Hence when I changed the setup to YES, it will prompt me this error.

You cannot change Bin Mandatory because there are one or more open ledger entries on this location.

Please advice what should we do?
1. Could we negate the item ledger entries and re-post the entries ? How do I cancel/negate the entries ?

Do a Negative adjustment on item journal for total quantity available, and then enable bin on location card, and then do Positive adjustment with bin code. Make sure you put the same cost for positive adjustment
