Hi all,

I've got these links. It is a message posted to the SAP B1 forum.
It seems that many SAP B1 customers complain about the support and maintenance service from SAP AG GSC (Global Support center):

1. https://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa? ... 7&tstart=0
2. https://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa? ... 6&tstart=0
3. https://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa? ... 8&tstart=0

The content of the message in the thread are all sames. The person posted this message seems suffers. Here is the message:
Hi All SBO end users / customers,

Recently, some of SBO customers submitted a support message to SAP AG GSC and according to the partner's support helpdesk, SAP AG GSC complains that many questions submitted are silly questions. I think they did not want to give fully and open hearted support and maintenance now. They just want your money.
So, I urge you to stop the yearly maintenance cost. If they did not want to accept the "silly" questions, it means they do not want to support their customers anymore.

Win-win solutions for these conditions are:
1. Stop paying maintenance fee to them and do not ever upgrade the patch level or versions if not very, very important.
2. Consolidating one another among the SBO end users. Join the mailist but not this forum. Creating new mailist that the members are the SBO end users. Help one another. The helpdesk confirmed that they know so much how SAP support will solve the problem of your db especially corrupted data (not database), missing document, etc.
3. Knowing your PL version well. Do much works on testing and setup. Make many transaction scenarios.
4. If you suddenly face a problem e.g. as follows:
a. Bugs in document, of course you certainly can't submit a message because no maintenance. Solution for this situation is to create a work around. I find out the best solution when I use SBO 2005A SP01 PL52 Local setting AU where the Ctrl+Tab is not working on the item dscription column of purchase order or purchase invoice.
b. Bugs in report, e.g. the result data of the report error, you can try to query it. Many of the report in the B1 are the combination of store procedure and query. Using programming language, they use DI to change the database table entry. So, you could use it too.
5. Change your ERP software to Microsoft Dynamics. They have better support and maintenance. This is the last solution.

Rgd,

Rajh

Hope microsoft dynamics won't give the same service with SAP B1 support center. The SAP B1 product will be sink asap. I am sure it will.

Mark

I am not going to go into it, but it at a cursory glance it looks like just one user upset over some issue. I can't see SAP B1 failing because of this.

You may be reading too much into this.
