NAV 4.0 SP1 can run on 64bit?

yfkohyfkoh Member Posts: 25
Currently we are using NAV 4.0 SP1 and SQL Server 2000 32 bit.

And we are planning to upgrade to 64 bit server, with SQL 2005 or 2008
My question is:

Can Navision 4.0 SP1 run with
1. 64 bit server
2. SQL 2005 or 2008 (either 32 or 64bit)?

If Nav 4 SP1 cannot, then
1. can NAV 4 SP2 or SP 3 support 64 bit
2. can NAV 5 and what SP can support 64bit

Thanks.

Cheers.
Best regards,

When you upgrade to a server, the only software running on the server is the SQL server. You should use 64 bit sql 2008 if possible.
And Nav 4.0 sp3 and up is supported on sql 2008.

I suggest to do exe upgrade to 5.0 sp1 or 2009 sp1 if possible. on the client side.

I forget to mention that server is on 32 bit and only couple of clients will be having 64 bit hardware.
