i have never heard of such thing, but that doesn't mean it isn't completely impossible. it might be, though.
have you looked at it from another perspective? Permissions can be defined to limit which companies users can select. So, if you don't want them changing from company A to company B, only give them permission for company A. Then they can only open company A. they won't even see company B in the company menu.
you'd have to test permissions regarding company NEW, RENAME, DELETE.
A user has to have permission to open at least one company. Thus the File --> Company --> Open needs to be there (even if they are automatically logged into a specific company). Menu items are grayed out based on what you can and cannot do, and everyone should be able to open a company.
