Export to Excel. Cannot add numbers

Hi All,
When I export a general journal with data to Excel, I am unable to make additions on the numbers in the Excel sheet. Just like if all numbers in NAV2009 have been exported to Excel in a text format. I am looking for a way to solve this problem. Pls help.
