Invalid Character

Hi all,

While opening Navision the following error message occurs and i am not able to proceed further.

"The identifier [Nav 4.0] contains one of the following invalid characters:[."\/']."

can any one suggest me how to resolve.

Well what have you done to the database.
Is this a sql database?

And what have you done to the database, when you start getting this error?

is the name of his DB 'NAV 4.0' and the '.' is the illegal character?

So he should rename his DB or company name to exclude the . ?

I just tried and added a (.) dot to the database and got the same message. So yep removing the dot should solve the issue.
