Expiration Date in Whse Entries

Hi,
I faced one problem and can't figure out how to solve it. Basically, when I post purch. order (item tracking is enabled) and enter location code and bin code, all Item ledger entries have expiration dates, but whse entries - don't. Where is the problem? Maybe there are some sort of settings?
Thanks

on Item card lookup on Item Tracking code field on Item tracking tab.
Go to the Item tracking card and on Lot tracking tab is Lot Warehouse Tracking checked?
If you are using serial only, is SN Warehouse Tracking enabled?0 -
Yep, I am using both: serials and lots. In Item tracking code card I have selected everything except lot info must exist... and SN info must exist. That's why it so weird to me...0

have you checked "Man. Expir. Date Entry Reqd". as well and what version are you on?0

I'm on 5.0 SP1.
Yep, I tried to select that option, but then I got error message saying that I must specify expiration date in tracking specification entry... But I have no clue how to specify this one. The only thing I've done is entered that date (3M lets say) in Item card.0 -
you specify it on Item tracking form, when you receive the goods in warehouse.
On warehouse you click on line->Item tracking and you specify it for serial/lot no, do a show column and select expiration date.0 -
Yep.... But.. Shouldn't NAV do all this work automatically? I mean, what is the point then to enter that exp. date in item card. It is used properly in Ledger entries.. but.. in Whse.. it is not.. that's really weird....0

It only does it on Item ledger and not at warehouse side.
You can report it as bug, but my guess you'll get a response that that's how it works.
The issue actually shows one of the big issues with picking in FEFO method. First expire first out. Which is missing in NAV warehouse management.0 -
Thanks ara3n for you answers. I appreciate that.0
