Turn ON SN Warehouse Tracking

Item tracking code Setup:

SN Specific Tracking ON
SN Warehouse Tracking was not ON.

Phy. Inventory List report, output is:

Item BIN Qty
A BIN1 40
B BIN2 50
---
---
Note: Your system is set up to use Bin Mandatory and not SN/Lot Warehouse Tracking. Therefore, you will not see serial/lot numbers by bin but merely as a summary per item.

Client wants to see serial numbers by Bin location. Would it cause any consequences if we trun ON SN Warehouse Tracking now(By blocking some code in Item Tracking table)?

Hi,

I think you will experience a lot of problems if you do that.
If you do it, what will you do with the historical records?
Also your customer probably will have to buy the warehouse module.
The Warehouse lot/SN control uses objects that might fall outside their license.

I went through a similar situation where we turned on lot control recently and it was a pain in the backside!

Client already purchased warehouse module. But, SN Warehouse Tracking was not ON, client says didn’t think of this requirement at the implementation time. I understood that it creates many issues, if client wants it now. Help me, how best can I fulfill this now?
