Navision 5.0 sp1 and SQL Server 2008 / 2005 Express

Hello everybody,

I have following problem to solve:
the customer has a server having SQL Server 2005 Express with databases and applications not managed/known by us.
They'd like to add SQL Server 2008 Standard on this server to support NAV 5.0 SP1.

I ask you if 2005 Express and 2008 are compatibles on same server without any problem?
The standard installation of 2008 unistall previous versions?
Is it necessary to create a new instance?
NAV 5.0 SP1 has problems using/connecting to a new instance?

Why would you not migrate data bases from 2005 express to 2008 standard ?

They would likely gain functionality for their other programs and reduce DB maintence having a central location.

This is obvious and clair but in this case the other db/programs have been developed and released by external partner/competitor and we would not have problems on this.
