Deal all,
suppose one nav customer using Nav3/Nav4 currently. They eager to upgrade their ERP system into a more advance system.
My question(s) is that :
Can they choose the new Version (Nav4/NAV5/NAV2009) ??
Any reply or remarks are most welcome ?

It will depend on what are the clients requirement. The information given by you is too less to give any suggestion. However normally the latest version is considered to be the most advanced one.CA Sandeep Singla

Whenever I've gotten a new license for a new version they have always backfilled it with all previous versions. i.e. if you are going from 3.7 to 2009 they will also add 4.0 and 5.0 to the license. That's been my experience anyway. So in that regard, you can technically pick which version you want to upgrade to, even if it isn't supported anymore.
You should just go to the latest version usually, though. The service pack for 2009 will be out soon so there's not much reason to even go to 5.0 SP1 now if you're going to use the classic client with 2009.0 -
