Hi all,
Can anyone give me some thoughts how these 2 journals are different on posting of capacity? I see in most cases it is advised to post capacity via the output journal. So, in what cases we should use capacity journal and output journal? I didn't study down to code level, and wonder if the journals posted in capacity jnl work differently from that of output jnl.

The capacity journal enables you to post a reduction of time, you have a calendar calcualting time against a machine, you can post a capcity journal to close it for maintenance.
The output journal reports the time taken to make something operation by operation as well as reporting quantities.
The consumption journal posts the component parts used to make the parent.
