Adding New Field into Item Tracking Lines

Hi All,
I am new to work on Item Tracking feature in navision(As an Developer).I have a scenario of adding a new field into item tracking lines along with the serial & lot no.

Could any one help me about the objects information where i need to carry this new field value
to fulfill the item tracking feature as it is.

I will make use of this field at the time of production...

    The item tracking feature in Navision is pretty prevasive. I would recommend you to use the Serial No. Information and Lot No. Information for additional fields. Just make sure the system is generating the Serial/Lot No. Information records when you are entering the serials/lots in the tracking specification on a document or line. This way you do not bloat the entry tables, but you can always reach the information.
