Hi,

I want to know how we can customize a system using Microsoft Dynamics Nav 6.0 to be able to upload pictures in jpeg. For example, for each asset in the fixed asset module of my client, they want us to assign a jpeg picture to it. How can this be possible?

Please help me out.

Thanks

32kb only when you are using static pictureon some object. 2TB if you are uploading bitmap into blob field like in this examle.

Dhaneesha, you can upload JPG, but question is, what you want to do with the JPGS after that? NAV is able to display only BMPs by default (and if you want to have your objects compatible with Classic client, there is no standard way how to display JPGs). But you can use e.g. some JPG2BMP convertors which can be used within NAV to automatically convert the JPG into BMP which is after that stored in the DB and possible to display it.

In NAV 2009 SP1 you will be able to create own addin to display the pictures, it means you will only need to change the file filter for files you can upload, but you will need to think about the classic client too...
