Taking Advantage of Vendor discounts with many locations

Is it possible to take advantage of vendor discounts based on quantity purchases when you have multiple shipping locations for one order. For example, you want to order 50 of a particular item and 10 need to go to one location and the other 40 go to another location. It seems that we would have to setup two POs to ship 10 to one location and 40 to another location. (Note: the locations are in different states). Is this true? If so, will it look at both POs to to take advantage of quantity discounts? If not, is there a way to work around this? Thanks for the help.

No real workaround except to manually overwrite the price.

The issue is that NAV wants a PO per delivery address, and you will need to load two, you combine invoices, but it is the pricing that is key, it is referenced at input, so in your example no price break is triggered.

In AX you can have a delivery address per line of the order, and there are more detailed pricing options which allow multi-line discount (although not multi-line pricing), so in theory it could work. Basically you would need to write some sort of modification to achieve this, but of course you also have to agree this with the vendor - although you are ordering 50, you are ordering 10 to one location, 40 to another, so the vendor incurs further transport costs, and this may negate any discount offering based upon the quantity. If I was the vendor I would certainly have it worded not to allow multiple location delivery points, if so you pay the ususal price :D
