"What if" scenario - components available to build BOM

We have a master BOM has three lines
1. Item - Actual Component
2. Production BOM - Phantom BOM made up of two components
3. Item - the Sub-assembly that is tied to the item. (Also has lower level Phantom BOMs and component inventory items)
Does anyone know the best way to determine if there are enough components (at all the levels) in inventory to build for example 5000 of the master BOM or finished good?
Thanks for the help.

Hi
There is no process/report where you can put in a quantity and it will tell you what you are missing, or it will tell you the maximum quantity you can assemble.
There is the capable to promise option from the slaes order, but it probably does not give you what you are after, so you will need to modify the system to do what you want it to do.The art of teaching is clarity and the art of learning is to listen0 -
