Hi there,
i tried to install a Navision Database Server 4.0 SP 3 Build 25143 (German) on a new Server.
First i tried it on Windows Server 2008 x64 Standard (SP2, German).
There are two problems:
1) The Navision Database Server Manager is not visible / reachable.
2) The tool schemaxt.exe breaks with an error message.
Second Try on a Windows Server 2003 x64 R2 Standard (SP2, German):
Another two problems:
1) The Navision Database Server Manager is not visible / reachable.
2) The tool schemaxt.exe breaks with an error message.
Are there known bugs with x64 Servers? How can i get the Database Server Manager Snap-in?
Is it necessary to run schemaxt.exe? The database server is reachble, only in the event log is a error that the AD Point was not found...
Thank you!

Did you check this : http://www.mibuso.com/howtoinfo.asp?FileID=10?
AD not found is not a problem.
Check if you aren't using TCPS for the server or the client.Regards,Alain Krikilion

Hi,
no, i don't want to install multiple machines but only one server.
The service is running well, but i want to administrate it by the mmc.
No, i don't use TCPS on server or client.
Thank you!0 -
To be honest: I never use the mmc because first time I used I had a lot of problems and switched to batches in which I put all parameters and run that batch (the link shows the parameters you mostly use).Regards,Alain Krikilion
