Setting up Native Server on Windows 2008 Server

Hello,
For a test installation I installed Windows 2008 Server on a computer and tried to install the NAV Database Server. So far everything worked well and the database service is running.
But I can not connect from any NAV client even not from the client I installed on the server. Are there some more steps I forgot? Do I need to install the DNS or Active Directory role on the server?
