Sam Here,

We are trying to upgrade the Nav 4 SP3 [without any Hotfixes] to Nav 5 SP1 HF2.

while using the upgrade toolkit , for Upgrade data [ Transfer Data] its throwing errors which is related to Hotfixes.

For Example : 16505 table does not exists which is only there in Hotfix.

whether before starting the Upgrade process we must apply all the Hotfies in Nav 4 database [Customized client database]???.

Warm thanks....

    Hi,

Haven't come across tabel 16505 but we have on our upgrades (say 4 to 5) had to modify the upgrade codeunits 104045 and 104048 to remove upgrade references to fields e.t.c. that do not exist any more in the destination platform.

I would suggest this is easier than trying to patch the origination version with hotfixes.

    Haven't come across tabel 16505

It must be table from localized version. We don't have any of the obj mentioned here in NA db. This is funny

Table 16505 is from HF5. Around 6 hotfix are released. I think you need to test after importing these HF's

I applied the all hotfixes upto 6. Now I able to run upgrade toolKit without any error for 'Transfer Data'.

That means when I'm going to Upgrade any version, I must apply all hotfixes ???

Else any other way is there to do the same because only applying Hotfix[ALL] itself taking half of the time of Database Upgrade............
