User Permission on G/L Accounts

This is certainly a problem everybody has encoutered sometimes and concerns permission settings.

Giving a user journal posting permissions in purchasing and sales, opens access to G/L Account overview, Balances and Postings.
This is due to read permission on G/L Account included in Standard Purchasing and Sales Roles. :evil:

Is there a way to avoid this ? Is this not a problem in your companies ?

We have solved it with permissions on forms. Create a role with all forms except form 16 (Chart of Accounts) and 17 (G/L Account card).

The user is then only allowed to use form 18 (G/L Account Overview) and cannot see the amounts posted
