Item Table 27 Security and Average Costs

Ho Guys & Dolls,

I am using NAV 2009 Classic Client with SQL.

I am trying to give access to users to post Purchase order invoices after amending the Direct Unit Cost field. At present the users only have indirect access to the Item (27) table. When they amend the Direct Unit cost field and try to post they are getting the usual permissions error "you do not have permission to modify the Item Table".

Is there anyway I can give the users rights to post PO's and not give them full modify access to the Item Table (27).

Thanks for your help!!

Regards,

ADARTIHS

    Hi ADARTIHS

You would need to give them indirect permission to the Item table and then give the object that is actually doing to change permission as well.

    Hope that helps

    Hi Ian,

Sorry I do not not know what you mean by give them permission for that object(did you mean table). All the users already have premissions to the PO tables header and lines.

    Thanks for your help.
