How do I revalue a single lot?

We're using NAV 5SP1. We use lot numbers for some inventory items. I need to write-down the value of specific lots, but when I select the Applies-to Entry number in the Revaluation Journal to select the entry in which the lot was posted, the posting date becomes locked to the date of the purchase entry; I can't do that because it is several months in the past. I need to write-down the value of the remaining lot balance in this fiscal period. I'm not trying to revalue the acquisition entry, I'm trying to revalue the remainder in the lot.
Can anyone tell me how to do this?
Thank you!

you could do a negative adjustment to get it out of inventory and then a positive adjustment to bring it back in at the new lower value.0

Thank you. And it's such a simple solution.0
