Upgrade Information

Hi All,

I want to upgrade the Client Database from NAVIN 4.0 SP3 HF6 to NAVIN 5.0 SP1 HF2. Can you suggest me which version of NDT I have to use ?

Hi,

the best versions you can use are NDT 2.0 SP3 build 291 or higher.

Can I use this upgrade toolkit NDTv3.01.410 ?

I don't think that would be the best toolkit to use.
It will work, but according to the documentation you need a NAV2009 client to create/manage the toolkit database.

Since you are going from version 4.0SP3 to 5.0SP1, I think the 2.0 Build 291 is the best option.

I'm upgrding from 4.0 to 5.0. I have two more questions regarding this.

1. What is the application database ? (is it Customer DB ? )
2. Which Client Version I have to use to create a Developer's Toolkit Database ??
(is it Nav 4.0 ? )

Hi,

The application database is your customer database.

You need the 4.0SP3 client to create a database to work with NDT 2.0 Build 291.
