User can view Item Card without permissions

Hi there,

I have a really odd issue that I cannot get my head around :x

In summary, I have created a role giving access to all objects but taking out forms that we wish to restrict.
Those users that need the restricted forms are given an additional role that gives access back.

Item Card (form 30) has been removed from the main role but I have a user that can still use it even though permissions are set so that he doesn't have access.

I've double checked the roles and tested them in our test NAV and all works as it should.

Is there anything in the background that could still be giving this user access?

Hi mark,

There could be an indirect permission granted from another object. You can test and isolate by designing form 30 save as new object.

If the user can run the new object it's not an indirect permission problem but that fact you have a general permission to run all forms.

I think that Ger is on the right track, a permission to FORM(0) is the normal cause of this happening.
