NAV Option Fields Caption in SQL Server

When we define a Option Field in Nav, its corrosponding data type in SQL is int, and the values in SQL Table is 0,1,2.... and not the Captions of the Option, my question how does nav keep Track of the Corresponding Caption of the Option Type ??

The actual problem that makes me ask this question is that i migrated a database from Native to SQL. Initially when i did so the Option captions where different. After migration i changed the Caption of the Option. But now when i use Business Analytics, it strangely picks up the older Captions.

Any idea, suggestion or comment on any of the two questions will be highly appreciated.
The Nav Version in question is 4.0 SP3 and SQL Server is 2005 Developers edition.
