Unexpectedly program termination

We have some weird problems with Navision Attain Client only on one workstation and in some particular cases.
Sometimes but just sometimes, the program crashes down on module Warehouse Management – Shipments, when the user is about to print the shipments.
It happens unexpectedly, just sometimes with different shipments but always on that module with report object- function print. We get this error message:
Application popup: CompanyName - Microsoft Navision Attain - [OT-04/0872 - Shipment]: fin.exe - Application Error : The instruction at "0x00491fd3" referenced memory at "0x02b31440". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
WS is Intel Celeron at 600 MHz, 128 MB RAM with Windows 2000. It has Lotus Notes installed (if that’s important) and no other special programs that require great memory usage. There are no other problems on the machine with other programs.
We tried several times to re-install the program, to expand cache, both on client and server, track processing with debugger, but nothing helped.
We cannot figure out what causes this problem, nor do we have any idea on how to solve it.
Any suggestions?

Has your Warehouse Management – Shipments module been customized?0

Some reports are added, and some of existing reports are just visual custimized (nothing in code) but no othere change except we use license file for our language settings. And it's strange because we have approx. 10 clients, mostly 4 are concurrent, and the problem appears only on one client's machine.

Did you delete the zup file ?0
-
We didn'it.
There is one on server dbms.zup, and on client's fin.zup.
Should we delete one of them?0 -
The client one.0

Thanks,
We uninstall application, delete everything that left including the registry, and installation over again.
Zup was created automatically, and we deleted it, but each time the program is started again, it creates zup file again.
You assume that some of his preferences could cause a problem or what?0 -
One more remark!
We did all the uninstallation/installation before, but the problem stayed.
Because it happens chaotically (but always with shipments printing) we cannot be sure did we solve the problem or not.0 -
... it happens ... always with shipments printing ...0

If your problem just happens on a specific workstation .. it might a hardware
problem ...
... so you have to find out - which component causes the error ...
the workstation ...
... try another workstaion on the same printer and network accesspoint
... if the problem never happens ... maybe some hardware
component may be damaged or the workstation is to slow / or the RAM is undersized.
the printer ...
... get the newest printer driver or try another printer.
cables ...
... also bad network cables maybe cause the effect.
(we had a workstation with the same problem ... a near production machine makes
trouble to the cable ... since we replaced the cable to better ones ... the
workstation works fine!)0 -

It's one of 10 workstations that use Navision. All of them use same printer. None have problem like that particular one.
But could it be because of client CACHE? How can that be checked...any idea?mrieke wrote:the printer ...

Printer works fine for all other reports and with other programs. Just shipments are critical.mrieke wrote:cables ...

Good idea, we'll try this. Although the error appears in chaotic manner only on shipment order reports...
Anyway thanks a lot0 -
I have seen some computers crash with certain programs/windows because the display driver. Try changing "Hardware acceleration" in the advanced Display settings, Troubleshooting tab, to use less than the Full acceleration.Naji Shaman

Deleting ZUP solved the problem temporarily. It just saves the time of restarting computer, but the problem remains- it happened again after some time. Is there a way to solve it permanently?0
