Scheduling Business Notification though NAS - mail not sent

Hello,

We tried to schedule via NAS (on external server) also a codeunit running a BN sending mail.
The codeunit runs correctly scheduled but the mails do not leave.
I ask you if it is necessary install also on the DB Server, where there is already the BN Server, the BN Client Manager to send these mail and if the client Navision must be open on DB server.
Which is the correct architecture to schedule BN mails?
